Who We Are and What We Do

We are a team of world travelers. We formed this company out of a passion for travel and our desire to share our knowledge and connections with our friends who also love travel. We have served as  “goto” advisers for years, and have had the fortune to meet the right people on the ground, vet their services, visit their countries, sample their properties and forge favorable contracts that enable us to offer travel services that exceed expectations and don’t break the bank.

The custom trips we plan are inspired by your imagination and supported by our conversations with you on how you like to travel, what intrigues you, and what your budget allows.

You have questions; we have questions. Together we create your journey.

The conversation is the most important starting point for crafting a proposal to meet your requirements, one that is based on our team’s comprehensive research, our own travel experiences, and our powerful connections with in-country, boots-on-the-ground partners who consistently deliver experiences that “wow” our guests.

Our motto is simple: We wish for you to travel beyond your boundaries and we are here to provide you reliable and personalized service that will add value to your life experience.

Where We Focus

Our guidance is based on our experience within a particular destination. Our partnerships with in-country operators and continuing education through these relationships enable us to customize a trip to your budget and travel preferences. If we have not highlighted a country you have an  interest in visiting, we can use our connections to introduce an expert and continue to assist you with the planning process.

Join a Group Tour

If you enjoy traveling in a small group led by a travel expert with an insider's track to provide a culturally immersive experience, or you are a single traveler who wants to enjoy the journey with a group of like minded travelers, consider one of the group tours. Latitude offers several such tours annually and posts them on the website as they are designed. Group size is limited to 5-12 and sometimes smaller depending on the destination.

Yoga, Textiles and Mayan Magic Guatemala  2021

Welcome to magical Guatemala! I am so thrilled to be able to share with you a place that is so dear to my heart. This adventure touches on a little bit of everything... markets, hiking, kayaking, yoga and of course, textiles; yet still gives you time to rest and explore on your own. We will enjoy daily yoga and meditation, connection with the local community of weavers, coffee growers, farmers and medicine people and the natural beauty of Guatemala.

I hope you can join us.

Costa Rica Photography Workshop

Dennus Baum is a travel photographer specializing in wildlife, landscapes and underwater scenery. His travels have taken him to Africa, Southeast Asia, North America and Latin America. Dennus’ pictures have been featured in Sports Diver, Baja Life Magazine, Rino Books, Aspen Magazine, Tribu Travel itineraries, Rocio Del Mar Live Aboard and the Seattle Aquarium.

Dennus has led destination photographic workshops for over 12 years with intermediate to advanced photographers. This workshop is open to people of all skill levels who have a solid understanding of the controls of their camera.  An SLR or mirrorless camera with at least a 200mm lens, and basic knowledge of "Exposure Triangle" Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO is a recommended foundation to get the most out of the workshop. The size of the workshop is limited to 6 to 12 photographers in order for everyone to have one on one attention and instruction, and to have a robust discussion among participants. The goal of the photography trip is to improve the quality of your photography and your post-processing skills while having fun in a great location, whether the subject is lions in East Africa, gorillas in Rwanda, sloths and birds in Costa Rica or lemurs in Madagascar.

We have also added a 3 day extension option to the trip for those who like some R&R at a five star resort town, Las Catalinas. Please let me know if you would like to see the extension itinerary.- Dennus

Best of Tanzania: Small Group Tour

We have designed a small group departure trip with 27 set dates per year- beginning with the guest(s) arrival in Tanzania on a Saturday and departing on a Saturday. The group minimum is 2 guests and the maximum can be 7-12 guests, with a supplemental cost for 8-11 guests due to the need to add a second safari vehicle. The trip is also designed to appeal to single travelers who can be added to an existing group departure of 6 or less guests. Tanzania was selected because of its rich game and the variety of biosystems and environment that can showcase much of what East Africa has to offer. Tanzania is also well populated with predators: Lions, leopard, and cheetah are in great supply. It is also a year round destination. This trip can be extended with a pre trip to Kenya, adding another 6 nights for a 12 night/ 13 day trip

Holi Celebration, Southern India and Sri Lanka- Spring 2022

Join a group of Latitude guests who enjoyed their journey to India in the Fall of 2019 to explore Rajasthan and immerse in the celebration of Diwali. The trip was such a success that the core group is returning to Rajasthan to celebrate Holi, the festival of Color. The group will  first visit Sri Lanka, then return to India to explore nature and coastal communities in Southern India, concluding the trip with Holi in Jaipur on March 18. We can accommodate 16 total guests on this group departure scheduled to arrive in Colombo, Sri Lanka March 3, 2022 and in India March 12. Guests can also join for a portion of the trip.

What Our Guests Say

All in all, the people, the sights, the food and the guides were fantastic. It was the best trip one would imagine, and I would absolutely recommend Peru and Linda's team to anyone looking for a great mix of activity, repose, culture and visually stunning landscape. Truly, it is a once-in-a-lifetime trip! Now, my husband is asking what our next trip will be...
